Welcome to Melanin on the Slopes!! Park City, Utah is one of the premier locations for winter sports. This weekend has been carefully planned to accommodate all activity levels. Adventure seekers and chill snow bunnies prepare to turn up!! Detailed daily schedule will be loaded closer to event date. This is a ski trip and the schedule has been curated to allow ample time to take on the slopes.

Our adventure starts at Park City Peaks Hotel located just steps away from a world class ski resort. Our hotel includes spacious rooms and suites as well as indoor/outdoor pool and jacuzzi, on-site restaurant/bar as well as plenty of cozy fireplace seating to warm up after a long day on the snow. If you choose to rent a car the hotel does include free parking

The state is known for its skiing, with the mountains near Salt Lake City collecting an average of 500 inches of snow per year, as well as for the Sundance Film Festival, one of the world’s premiere independent film festivals, staged each January in Park City.
Daily temps range from 23°F to 40°F
New to the slopes? No worries, lessons are available. There are also slopes for all skill and comfort levels
What to Pack:
Waterproof lightweight jacket (skiing snowboarding)
Waterproof lightweight pants or snow pants
Wear single layer water wicking attire ( workout gear under armor)
Gloves
Balaclava ( Full head/face/neck coverage)
Wool socks(thick knee length will help with cushion in ski/snow shoes)
Ski goggles
Sunglasses
SUNSCREEN!!
* While it will be cold, winter sports can be strenuous. You may get hot. It is best to dress in light layers that can be removed versus thick and bulky.
